How do I install the new Fandango Palm Application?
Installing the Fandango Palm Application is simple. Just go to the App Catalog that is pre-loaded on your Palm Pre and follow the instructions below:
- Open the App Catalog on your Palm Pre by clicking the App Catalog icon that appears in the launcher.
- The Fandango app is featured on the App Catalog homepage, but you can also search for it by typing "Fandango" into the Universal Search field. Once your find it, click on the image.
- Follow the on-screen install instructions.
How do I find movies playing near me?
The first thing you will have to do is determine your location or the location of the theater where you wish to purchase tickets for. The first time you use the Fandango App you will see the following options:
If you have already set a location or are using your device's GPS location, this location will be used by the App to find movies playing near you.
If you have not set a location, a pop-up will appear when you first launch the app. You can use the device's GPS location or enter in a specific ZIP code. This location will become the App's default until you choose to change it through the Preferences & Accounts menu or by simply clicking on the ZIP code button on any theater or movie page.
The first screen will show you a list of movies opening this week, top 10 box office, followed by movies playing in your area. To select a movie you are interested in just tap on the movie title.
How do I purchase tickets once I have found the movie I want to see?
To purchase tickets for a movie you wish to attend just tap on the movie title in the list of movies playing near you. Alternately, you can also select the movie you wish to see from the "Theaters" tab. The next page will have details about the movie, such as running time and the release date. If you scroll down you will see a list of theaters and showtimes for the movie.
Choose the theater you wish to attend and then tap on the buy button and you will see an option to purchase tickets for the showtime of your choice. To see movies playing on a different day just click on the date icon located just above the theater list and then click on the date of your choice.
Select your showtime by taping on it. The next screen will ask you to select the ticket type and quantity. Just click on the type of ticket you want, select the quantity. Then, choose if you would like to enter credit card information or sign-in to your Fandango account to complete the purchase. To use a credit card and check-out as a guest, click the "Continue Checkout" button. To use your Fandango account and access your saved credit card if you have one, click the "sign in" button.
Using your Credit Card
Now you can enter in your credit card information and even choose the option to save it so you won't have to enter it again next time. As always, you credit card information is confidential and secure.
Enter your e-mail address to receive ticket purchase confirmation via e-mail. Entering your e-mail address is optional, but highly recommended.
To enter your credit card information click on the field marked "Credit Card Number" and then type in you credit card number. Repeat these steps for the rest of the required fields such as "Expires" and "Billing Zip". You can then choose to save the card by checking the "save credit card for future purchases" box or just continue your purchase without saving your card information by taping on "Continue".
Using your Fandango Account
You can sign-in to your Fandango account and use your credit card on file to complete the purchase. If you like, you can also store your Fandango account sign-in credentials to the phone to make the purchase process even faster next time. Your Fandango account password will be securely stored.
Enter your e-mail address to receive ticket purchase confirmation via e-mail. Entering your e-mail address is optional, but highly recommended.
To enter your Fandango account sign-in information, click on the e-mail field and enter the e-mail address that is associated to your Fandango account. Next, click on the password field and enter your password. You can choose to stay signed into your Fandango account by checking the "Keep me signed in." box or just continue your purchase without staying signed-in by clicking the "Sign-In" button.
You are now ready to purchase your tickets. All you have to do is tap on the "Complete My Purchase" button and you are set.
The next screen will be your purchase confirmation screen. Please make sure you read the instructions carefully on how to redeem your tickets at the theater.
Your purchase confirmation can also be retrieved in your "View Purchase History" through the Preferences & Accounts menu. For your convenience, the purchase confirmation is also automatically saved to your calendar as well as to the main movie page.
How do I find a list of movies playing at my theater?
Once you have entered your location all you have to do to find information on theaters is to tap on the "Theaters" tab at the top of your screen. A list of theaters in your area will appear.
To view information on a specific theater, just tap on the theater name. This will take you to the theater's information page which will include all the showtimes and movies playing at that theater.
You can then select showtimes and purchase tickets for the movie you wish to see. You also have the option to add a theater to your "favorites" list by tapping on the heart to the right of the theater name. Your favorite theaters will appear at the top of the theater list.
If you wish to call the theater simply tap on the phone number listed just under the theater name. The number will then be automatically dialed for you. For driving directions or to view a map of the theater, click on the theater address next to the map icon.
